The Hope App

The 熊猫在线视频 App provides an easy-to-use, personalized portal to your student or employee account information, along with the most frequently used resources and tools from the college鈥檚 website and inHope.

Support Resources

Welcome and Orientation

Download the App

Find the app by searching for 鈥溞苊ㄔ谙呤悠碘�� in the App Store on your iPhone or in the Play Store on your Android device.

Use the Desktop Version

Visit in your web browser, and you鈥檒l be taken to the login screen. 

Log In

Whether on the app or the browser version, you鈥檒l log in using your 1hope credentials 鈥� just like you do when accessing your email account.

If you need help recovering your login and password, contact CIT.

In the App

At the very top are options to:

• Expand and collapse the menu
• Search within the app
• View your notifications
• Access your profile and account settings

Search Bar

The main search bar is a global search tool. It searches within:

• The app and its resources
• Employee directory
• Campus calendar
• Course catalog
• Main 熊猫在线视频 website
• Athletics website
• And more!

Hope Alerts

The app Hope Alerts, important deadlines, and other high-priority, campus-wide announcements. 

Quick Links

Select quick links can be found in drop-down menus for 熊猫在线视频, Campus Life, Health & Safety, and more.

These aren鈥檛 all the tools in the app, but they are some of the most important and commonly used resources

Different tools and resources may be available to different users, depending on whether you鈥檙e a student, an employee, or another user type.

Widgets

The main part of the app contains widgets for things like:

• Your academic profile
• Dining menus and Dining Dollars balance
• Campus news and events
• Athletics events and scores
• Campus radar and map

Check back for new widgets

Click the 鈥淔ind New鈥� or 鈥淔ind New Widgets鈥� button in the top right corner to add or delete widgets from your dashboard and look for new widgets

Menu

Found on the left-hand side or in the hamburger menu on your phone

Contains additional information, helpful resources, and access to other tools:

• Announcements
• Events & Calendars
• Employee Directory
• Shortcuts
• Tools
• Pages

Profile and Account Settings

Click on your picture in the upper right corner to View Profile and access your Account Settings.

Profile

Select 鈥淰iew Profile鈥� to see your profile information.

Information included in the 鈥淧rivate Information鈥� section is only visible to you and to administrators. This information 鈥� including your ID number 鈥� is not visible to other users.

Your contact information is visible to other app users. It is automatically populated by the directory and cannot be changed. 

Optional fields include:

• A short paragraph about you
• Your educational background
• Places you鈥檝e lived and worked
• Languages you speak
• Your hobbies and skills

To change your profile information, click Edit Profile in the upper right.

Only share the information you鈥檙e comfortable sharing. You can also control who sees what information by changing your privacy settings.

Account and Privacy 熊猫在线视频 Settings

Select "Account Settings鈥� after clicking your picture in the upper right corner to

• Make general adjustments for appearance and accessibility
• Change those privacy settings
• Adjust your notifications settings

Hope Alerts will override select notification settings in the event of an emergency.

Widgets

Widgets provide at-a-glance content and easy access to:

• Your academic profile
• Dining menus and Dining Dollars balance
• Campus news and events
• Athletics events and scores
• Campus radar and map
• 熊猫在线视频 Instagram posts
• And more

You can add new widgets, delete existing widgets, and drag-and-drop to reorder them on your dashboard.

Use the 鈥淔ind New鈥� or 鈥淔ind New Widgets鈥� button to add new widgets or delete widgets you don鈥檛 want. Depending on your user type, some widgets cannot be removed. 

On the desktop version, click the three-dot menu in each widget to refresh its content, resize the widget on your screen, add it to a folder, or remove it.

On your phone, long press a widget to add it to a folder.

Check back for new widgets! These will either appear on your dashboard automatically or be listed in the Find New Widgets section.

Menu

Dashboard

Click 鈥淒ashboard鈥� or the 熊猫在线视频 logo to get back to the main screen and access your widgets.

Annoucnements

Click 鈥淎nnouncements鈥� to see all current announcements.

Many announcements will appear here even though they don鈥檛 also appear in the notifications on your main dashboard, which are reserved for the most important announcements and Hope Alerts.

Events and Calendars

Click 鈥淓vents & Calendars鈥� to see what鈥檚 coming up at Hope.

Add or remove calendars to fit your interests with the checkboxes next to a calendar鈥檚 name.

Click on an event to:

• View additional details
• Indicate whether you鈥檙e going
• See who else is going

Directory

Click 鈥淒irectory鈥� to search for current employees.

Students are not listed in the app directory

The Directory search bar will only search the Directory. If you want to search more broadly, use the global search option.

Tools

Click 鈥淭ools鈥� to access links to various resources found on .

These include things like:

• Business Services Forms
• Minutes and Agendas
• Hope Daily Submissions
• Phys Plant Service Request form
• And much more

Click one of these categories to access its tools:

• My College Account
• Student Resources
• Campus Resources
• Employee Resources

Click the three dots next to the 鈥淭ools鈥� header to View All Tools and then:

• Browse the tools in each category
• Click Load More to view additional tools
• Use the Search feature to find exactly what you鈥檙e looking for (unlike the global search bar, this will only search the Tools section)

If you don鈥檛 see the tool you鈥檙e looking for, try the global search bar to look for it on , or visit the website, or contact us at web@hope.edu.

If you click the star next to a tool, it will add that item to a Shortcuts section right in your menu.

Add shortcuts for your most commonly used tools.

Pages

Click 鈥淧ages鈥� to access About and Help documentation.

The About section includes a changelog and a feedback form.

The Help section includes helpful videos and how-tos.

My College Account

The My College Account section provides access to your employee and student account information.

If you used to do it at plus.hope.edu or in Banner, the My College Account section of the app is how you access it.

Log in using your 1hope user ID and password.

Communication

Banner Communication Management 鈥� Sending emails from Banner

Degree Works

DegreeWorks is the system that helps you understand your degree requirements. It looks at the classes you鈥檝e already taken and the ones you鈥檙e taking now. It shows which requirements you鈥檝e completed and which ones you still need, including both general education and major requirements.

Employee Information

The system employees use to manage their employee/work information, including:

• Time card entry
• Leave requests
• W-2 forms
• Pay stubs
• Benefits
• Electronic personnel action forms (EPAFS)
• Other job-related details

Also known as Banner Self-Service Employee.

Extensibility

Banner Extensibility - Tools for extending, customizing, and creating new SSB pages.

Faculty

The system faculty use to manage course and student information, including:

• Class lists
• Grade entry
• Advisor lists
• Student profiles
• Faculty assignments
• Course schedules

Also known as Banner Self-Service Faculty.

Finance

The system used to manage financial information, including:

• Budget management
• Account queries
• Hierarchy queries
• Viewing documents or invoices related to charges

Also known as Banner Self-Service Finance.

Profile Information

The system used to view and update personal information, including:

• Direct deposit allocations (for employees)
• Email
• Phone
• Race
• Ethnicity
• Emergency contacts

Students can also set up parent proxy access.

Also known as Banner Self-Service 9 General.

Student Account

The system students use to access academic and financial information, including:

• Grades
• Unofficial transcripts
• Student profiles
• Graduation applications
• Tuition payment details
